Device List (GMA)

Manage all GMA devices in one place with remote operations and monitoring, serving as the entry point for device lifecycle management.

Updated over 4 months ago

1. Features and Objectives

The Device List (GMA) is one of the core entry points of the KiwiCloud management platform. It is designed to centrally display and manage all enrolled GMA-type devices. Administrators can perform key operations such as status monitoring, filtering and locating devices, executing remote actions, navigating to device details, and conducting batch management—ensuring efficient control over the full device lifecycle.

Compared with KMA/IMA-type devices, GMA devices rely on the Google Management Framework for enrollment and policy distribution. Combined with KiwiCloud’s visualized management and remote action capabilities, this module supports unified operations in scenarios where multiple brands of devices require mixed management.

Typical Use Cases:

  • Filter GMA devices by status or attributes, then batch-execute remote actions such as restart, shutdown, or policy distribution.

  • Precisely locate a single device, access its details page for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

  • Integrate with Device Groups to enable group-based management and policy inheritance.

  • Combine with Application Release Policies to verify app installation and compliance status.

  • Link with Enrollment Management and Zero-Touch, QR Code Enrollment to complete the closed-loop process from device onboarding to centralized control.

3. Secondary Operations

3.1 Device Search and Filtering

  • Supports combined filtering by device name, status, model, serial number, country/region, and other conditions in the top search bar.

  • Provides fuzzy search functionality, allowing quick location of target devices using keywords.

  • Filter conditions can be reset or expanded into advanced options for more refined searches.

3.2 Export Device List

  • Click the [Export] button in the top-right corner of the page to export the device list under the current filter conditions.

4. Configuration Items Description

Field / Action

Description

Device Status

Indicates the lifecycle stage of the device, including: Registered, In Use, Lost, Repair, Retired, etc.

Online Status

Displays the current online/offline state of the device. The online status of GMA devices is reported by the KiwiCloud app.

Compliance

Shows the device’s compliance status with policies. The system compares the actual configuration with the deployed policies. If discrepancies are found, the compliance remediation mechanism is automatically triggered.

Remote Actions

Supports remote operations for single or multiple devices (e.g., reboot, lock, clear app data). If the device is offline, the command will be cached for 10 minutes; beyond that, the command will expire.

Policy Actions

Policy deployment does not depend on device online status. For GMA devices, policy deployment is guaranteed by Google Android Enterprise services.

Device Attributes

Displays basic device information including manufacturer, model, OS version, serial number, region, etc. These fields can also be used as search and filter conditions.
