Initial Configuration

1.Confirm your Product License

Go to: System Management > Organization Management > License: Confirm product authorization information.

2.Configure Default Rules:

System Settings: This section includes the core configuration of the system, mainly including security, compliance, default policies, etc.

Account Security Policy

You can configure:

  • The automatic deactivation period for inactive accounts

  • The expiration time and session count limits

  • Email alerts for failed login attempts

  • An IP whitelist for backend (admin console) access

Compliance Settings

When a device triggers a non-compliant action, you can choose to:

  • Disable the device

  • Factory reset the device

The maximum duration for either action must not exceed 30 days.

Additionally:

  • The number of days before a factory reset must be greater than the number of days before the device is disabled.

  • To disable the device immediately upon a non-compliant event, set the disable duration to 0 days.

Default Device Policy

KiwiCloud supports the following default policy settings for managed devices:

  • Enforce password complexity requirements

  • Define application access permissions and system update policies, including:

    • Restricting whether network and connectivity options are enabled

    • Controlling time windows for device network usage

    • Managing display and sound settings

Organization Management:

KiwiCloud provides flexible and secure role-based access control through:

  • Creating and assigning the customized roles

  • Support for multi-level organization structures (up to 5 levels)

  • Granular permission control per organization, including

    • Assigning different permission levels to each organization

    • Differentiating sub-account types as Control or Collaborative

    • Fully customizable sub-account permissions

Android Enterprise:

To enable GMA device management, you must first link a Google Enterprise Account.

Once Android Enterprise is linked, KiwiCloud will use Google’s Android Management API (AMAPI) to manage the devices.

What is Android Enterprise?

Android Enterprise is a feature developed by Google specifically for Android devices (version 5.0 and above), providing various functionalities and configurations to meet the security and device management needs of enterprises.

The following features are supported by Android Enterprise:

  • Add applications to the app store

  • No user intervention required, silent installation of applications (MGP public applications and private applications)

  • Modify the configuration and permissions of specific applications

  • Customize the app store

  • Enhance data security through Android Enterprise restrictions and configurations
